Throwback Video of the Week - Tia

Toya and I often joke that if we could clear out all of the random songs that are hiding in the crevices of our minds would have been straight A students, Rhodes Scholars and found the cure for cancer and AIDS.

I'm always amazed when a song that I've completely forgotten about somehow works its way back into my life and I am ruined for the rest of the day.

I was playing SongPop this morning and the category was Boy Bands. (Aside: if you're any kind of music lover and you're not playing SongPop then you are completely missing out.) I guessed "Anything" in 0.7 seconds. It took me less than a full second to A.) guess the song and B.) become completely flooded with memories.

3T's "Anything" came out the summer of my years of high school...I'm not saying which one. My friend Salena and I would just ride around in my Volkswagen Fox with no particular destination in mind mostly because we could. Gas was less than a dollar. And we had no real responsibilities. So cruising around, singing songs and eating Tommy's Pizza (extra sauce, please) was usually the order of the day.

I loved Michael Jackson more than words could accurately express. So it took no convincing for me to get on board with 3T. They were cute. They could sing. They were related to Michael Jackson. Enough said. And "Anything" hit all of the right marks. A brokenhearted teenage anthem with hot harmonies. YES and THANK YOU!!!

As soon as I finished playing SongPop this morning I opened iTunes up and downloaded the song. I may or may not have it on repeat right now. And I may or may not have gotten up to bodyroll (more than once) at the three part harmony at the end of the bridge.

I read that 3T is back in the studio working on new music. Oooohh, I hope that's true. I will willfully and wholeheartedly receive bodyroll inducing harmonies from these Jacksons any day.
