Open Letter to Jeremy Renner - Tia

Dear Jeremy,

I figured I'd better write this before it's too late and people deem me a bandwagon fan.

I have the feeling that you're about to have a big year. I just watched the trailer for the new Bourne movie and with The Avengers coming out this summer, I'm certain there will be a lot of oohing and ahhing over you. So I wanted to go on record early and say that you have been my boo in my mind for a minute.

It was S.W.A.T. that first did it for me.
Something about men with guns is appealing. Your unapologetic badassery made me sit up and take notice. But it was your portrayal of Ned in Neo Ned that let me know that you could do more than just sexily wield a gun. Though difficult to watch due to the subject matter, the way you and Gabrielle Union interacted was amazing and heartbreaking. She was already a favorite but Ned added you to the list.

28 Weeks Later officially cemented your boo status on my list. Though it was edited out of the final cut, you winking as you pushed the car out of the gas made me squeal with unbridled delight. The day I saw that trailer was the day I wanted you to be mine. *sigh* The guns, the saving of the children, the general badassery...yeah...Weeks made me fall in like with you a lot.

So this summer as you Hawkeye it up and all the fair-weather girls and boys start trying to tell you how much they've LURVED you, remember this BGLU has been down for you for a while. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drool over your all too brief appearance in Thor on my huge flatscreen. You and Idris in HD is how I'm choosing to spend my afternoon.

Sincerely,
Your Long Time Boo

Why did I jump out of my seat when I saw the heading of your post? Ok, I will admit that I don't have a couple of years of droolage under my belt to profess like some folks here and out in the internet world, but I don't claim myself a bandwagoner, who just discovered him yesterday either. When I celeb crush, it's pretty hard and can last for years. So, I discovered Jeremy in the quietness of my internet exploration last summer. My ignorance wanted me to assume (wish) he was from another country like ummm...Ireland as opposed to American and being a Californian, like me, who was raised literally two hours from me. lol! I was only an hour away from him on Christmas Day, sigh if only... This was all before I heard him speak.

First movie I watched was Neo Ned, and I was greatly disturbed by my interest in him because of the character he portrayed. May the Lord be a counselor (I had to borrow that). Since then, I've watched The Unusuals and wished it was still on tv...really great ignored show. Finally watched Dahmer in the wee hours of the morning at work. I've been reluctant to watch it, but got through it. I do have a thing for short guys, under 6, but taller than 5'4. I want him to sing to me. I have www.jeremyleereener.com as one of the top sites page on my desktop. If you don't, you should. Lots of folks still don't know who he is, but that will most likely change by the end of summer. I'm so ready for The Avengers, I don't know what to do. Even though his role is minor compared to some of the other characters, I'm sure I'll be drooling from beginning to end between him, RDJ, and Mark Ruffalo, so that will be covered. Now I'm looking forward to The Bourne Legacy, even though I was disappointed that Matt Damon wasn't returning. After watching the preview, my mind is open. I'm still catching up on his work already seen The Town and need to see SWAT again. Back then I went for LL Cool J. I'm looking forward to seeing more of his loveliness, Jeremy.

As usual, I thought it was just me. Been a fan for quite some time, waiting for the rest of the world to catch onto this good thing.

I see that I am not the only one. He first caught my eye in The Hurt Locker. Then my crush escalated when I saw him in The Town. I've never seen Neo Ned so will have to check that out.

I noticed him in Hurt locker, his eyes are just so intense!!! Then Mission Impossible 4 came out and I couldnt wait to see him in action again. I didnt watch Thor till a week or so ago so I didnt know he was there! But today I watched the Avengers and OMG intense tantalizing eyes FTW!!! anyway I really think he should be the next James Bond, with his pretty eyes and the way he can hold a gun or a bow and arrow, he would be perfect!

I agree with all of you. I was introduced to him in which I had to watch "Dahmer" for a forensic psych class. BTW, "Dahmer" is a disturbing movie, but Jeremy is a phenomenal and gifted actor with the ability to tell us a story through his brilliant acting as well as those strikingly intense eyes (which are stunningly beautiful). The Avengers has given him an enormous boost. We have seen him in several movies before this and there is no doubt in my mind that we will see him in many more blockbusters. We'll keep cheering him on.

I've saw Jeremy Renner in tons of movies before for awhile now and NEVER knew his name for a long time! I always thought he was so dayum handsome. I found out his name by watching 28 Weeks Later. I have had a few celeb crushes in my 21 years of existence but I don't really fancy it as much anymore. If I think a celeb is gorgeous then I simply think they are gorgeous, such as him! Gosh, he's a beautiful man. Beautiful....man. *sigh* A beautiful man that can put a ring on it any day. LOL :D

I hate to be "that" person who likes to one up everyone, but in the case of my boo Mr. J, I must!

Do you remember Jeremy from a Bravo reality show before Bravo reality shows delved into being crazy and/or trashy (it's not always a bad thing, just saying)? Well he was featured on a show called The It Factor which followed several actors (including LisaRaye and Godfrey) trying to make it big.

It aired around 2002 and even back then you could tell then he had the "It" factor. It followed him as he was doing postproduction stuff with Dahmer, he auditioned for the role of Dracula in Van Helsing and he got his first big role (they never specified, but I assumed it was S.W.A.T.) and was able to buy his first place with the money.

So I'm right there with you, but we go back a bit longer too. ;)

I loved him since "The Town" too. He's such a bad boy and I love his "badasseriness" myself. It's good to know I'm not the only one out there oooing and aaahing over his hotness.

First noticed him in CSI:LV, Alter Boys. All that intensity told me that he would be recognised soon. Great to see him do so well, but please Jeremy, we *like* you under the radar. Don't change your style.
